Marinas on Watts Bar Lake

Watts Bar Lake was formed when TVA completed Watts Bar Dam on the Tennessee River in 1942, part of the Depression-era system of dams built to tame flooding, open a navigable channel, and bring hydroelectric power to the valley. It sits between Watts Bar and Fort Loudoun dams and reaches up the Tennessee and Clinch rivers, with hundreds of miles of shoreline that today draw boaters, anglers, and lakeside communities.
